Name of the Game

Looking high, feeling low
Pouring out your feelings for
everyone to know
Feeling blind, yet seeing too much
Take it all in, try to get in touch

Is there a reason we all play the game
Feeling like a pawn, about to go insane
Loving, hating, the point is the same
Believing in yourself is the name of the game
Oh yeah, the name of the game

Peace in your heart, can it be done
By ranting and raving just to get attention
Open the scar, angry at the voice
One thing’s for sure it’s got to be your choice

Go ahead, blow out the candle
Stay in the dark, stay out of trouble
Reach ahead it’s something you can handle
Get to your feelings, on the double

Go farther on back through the years
Bring to the surface all of your tears
One more time feeling the pain
I hope for you, you’ve got something to gain

Climb out from under the rubble
See the light, see the trouble
Reach ahead it’s something you can handle
Get to your feelings, on the double

New Ways to Love

I sit here and I wonder what to do with myself
From the moment that I wake up, Til I put that book on the shelf
You see I’ve been there and done that
I really know just where it’s at

Then a stranger approached me,
She said there’s a new road up ahead
I said “I know the one that they paved in"
She said no, the one that’s in your head
You think you’ve been there and done that
Are you sure you know just where it’s at
Then I realize that it’s a new day , With new sights, new dreams
New lessons, new people and new ways to love

Now I sit here and I wonder, which road to take
Someone may come along to help , But it’s my decision to make
I’ve never really been there and done that
I don’t really know just where it’s at

Then I realize that it’s a new day
With new sights, new dreams, new lessons
New words, new thoughts, new times
New questions, new voices, new sounds
New joys, new feelings, new passions
new fears, new doubts, new healings
new people and new, new ways to love

Well you know I sit here and I wonder , what do to with myself
So many choices from sun up to sun down
And through the night my dreams don’t help
Cause if I been there and done that
why don’t I know just where it’s at?

Just Say Yes

Treading through the water
Feel the pull of the deep blue sea
And wondering why
Everyone always feels the need
To protect their dreams

Going through the motions
Every rule we try to apply
Is it all just a force of habit just to try
Try and try and try

Just a nod from a stranger
Can wash away the pain and the anger
What if you said yes instead of no
What would life be like if it were so
All you’d have to do is ask
Just say yes instead of no

Past the point of quarreling
Lies the truth that we seek
And what we give out we get back
So then why make someone’s spirit weak

Open your door and let them in
That someone might just be your friend
It only takes a moment of time
And worth the price in the end

Tomorrows Treasure

They tell us there's a hole in the sky
We put it there carelessly
But it's so hard to believe in
Something we just can't see
It's easier to let them take care of things

They tell us there's acid in the rain
We put it there carelessly
But it's so hard to believe in
Something we just can't see
It's easier to keep it hidden in our memory

We breathe the breath of nature
Take our life blood from the ground
And we swim into the ocean
As the world keeps going round
But if we keep playing this dangerous game
And things remain the same
We can watch tomorrows treasure fade away

There'll be no room for our childrens children
It's getting less every day
But it's so hard to believe in
Something so far away
But we can change it one by one and day by day

One by one and day by day
We can pass it on

They tell us there is hope for the future
If we act carefully
It's not so hard to believe in
If we take it seriously
Then we can watch time unfold it self naturally
Tomorrows treasure will be.

Baby boy (Song for Singring)

From a mother's eyes. You were the gold in the sky
Standing apart from all the rest
I was never alone, and my heart was not my own
When you laid your head upon my chest
Baby boy, thank you for loving me

I'm holding on to you in the only way that's true
With my heart, my mind and my soul
The map you laid with its treasures along the way
Will lead me to where ever you go

Baby boy. Thank you for loving me
I'll kiss you in the morning, I'll sing to you at night
Baby boy hold on tight
Baby boy. Thank you for loving me

You're running free, yet always in my reach
It's okay to love me from afar
Baby boy. It's okay to be where you are
It's okay to be
Baby boy, it's okay

Restless

Thought that I already knew, without question, All my hidden hopes and dreams
Happy and intrigued with life around me, tell me what more can there be?
Then a light came through, the light that drew me inside of you

Now I feel your soul waking my senses, taking hold of me and leaving me restless
And I know that I'm going to keep this place for you

I can really see how time can bind you, when truth appears at every door
And I never realized, the power of fate and it's clinging to me more and more
How much can we hold, in this dream that's about to unfold

Now I feel your soul waking my senses, taking hold of me and leaving me restless
And I know that I'm going to keep this place for you

With every turn we take, I feel the lifetimes we could make
Now I feel your soul waking my senses, taking hold of me and leaving me restless
And I know that I'm going to keep this place for you
It will always be right here in my heart,
I'm going to keep this place just for you...

Easy Way

I was put here to play, spend all my days
Satisfying my every need
It seems like a dream, a tale only some believe
But home awaits me long after the greed

So many roads, so many oceans to sail
So many emotions left to show
So many questions, so many trials I have to fail
If there's an easy way to get there I want to know

A walk in the part, all the mysteries after dark
So many clues to the winning game
I close my eyes and I think
What a walk in the park could mean
I have to leave behind the anger and the blame

Got my arms stretched out, my head up high
My hearts on waiting ground
Come and find me, Won't you come and find me

Voice of Our Children

You felt like something was missing
But you just couldn't figure it out
Time for someone to listen
So you had a child

You want them to grow up just like you
Does that include your hate and fear
Remember in your childs eyes
You're the hero of the year

Their ears are wide open,
With what you say and do
Their spirit can be broken

You can teach them to read
Teach them to write
Teach them how to love and
How to fly a kite
You can teach them about honesty
To say thank you and goodnight
But don't teach them to play God
The voice of our children
Is going to carry on
Yes it will

If you want to give them the best in life
Maybe it's time you understand
You brought them into the world
Time to change your permanent plans

Will they love a woman or a man
Will they have the right to choose
That really depends on us
And whether we win or lose

What you say, they're going to say
What you do, they're going to do
And what you feel they're going to feel

Age of Passed Time

I owe my existence to the departed
Approaching the nearest plane
Planting seeds of old remains
Carry me through life on rules I've started
Trace my tears as I confide
Surfacing all I have to hide

Holding on to the powers of the departed
I begged them to take me away
But my body got in the way
Souls of latter years are all united
I wonder why they stay
To bring visions of tender ways

Age of Passed Time
Take me in your arms
Age of Passed Time
Caress me with your charms
And walk that fine line
Keep showing me the signs
Of the age of passed time

Darkness doesn't belong to me
Blurred by pain in this time of need
Hold the passion of the soaring breed and wait
Wait for the day

I owe my existence to the departed
Speak to me from the other side
And let me know just when to fly

Up Real Close

So many times I needed to hear your voice
Heavens warmth and gentleness right through you
And when I need someone to tell me
These dark thoughts just aren't true
Well yours is the voice that I choose

So many times I have clutched your hands
Brave and strong, holding the truth
And when I need someone to stay a step ahead
Of this loneliness and the blues
Well yours are the hands that I choose

So won't you be my guide, be my shining star
Love me from up real close
Love me from wherever you are
Because I've got a level of comfort
That only you can bring
And I want to thank you
For who you are to me

So many times I have looked through your eyes
I've seen the great mystery inside of you
And when I need some proof of
A world filled with love
Well yours are eyes I choose

Who you are is a gift from my belief
Who you are, you're my way of learning how to receive
So when I want to feel wrapped up in love
There's no way, that I can lose
If yours are the arms that I choose

Who you are, you're my shining star
Who you are, you're my gift from afar

Ran Out of Love

You sit there with your photographs
All those cherished memories and
All those laughs and you cry
But nobody knows it

You're wondering how much you could take
All those cold answers
And heartaches and you feel
Like nobody knows it

You think you ran out of love
How can the river run dry
When it comes from above
You think you ran out of love
But all your emotions are tied to the past
Everything you're afraid of
But how can your light shine bright
If you ran out of love

You play that game of honesty but your
Heart always feels have empty
And you cry
But nobody knows it
So your walking down the avenue
Wondering where this road will
Even take you to but you've tried
And nobody knows it

You feel all that hope and you feel
All of the pain
You rode on the back of darkness
Over and over, over and over again
